Link Blog

It's something that I have always intended on doing in the past, create a link blog, not necessarily about the work that I do for a living (and for my own amusement out of hours too), but I had originally thought it would be something to contain all the stupid humour that I used to share on Facebook before I retreated from there. I may well still do the funny stuff but probably not on this domain, and besides it gives me an opportunity to try out other things in blogging.

Here however I will start adding small links to other articles, tutorials and general thought pieces that I find interesting. These will generally be new to me but maybe not new to anyone else, and to be brutally honest it's mainly for me that I am doing it as basically a list of links for my own reference with a little something about them just to remind me of what it is. If anyone else finds it's useful that's cool, but probably not.

This was inspired by my idle browsing on Bluesky and finding this post which just brought my previous thoughts back to me, reminding me of the early days of blogging, writing your own CMS, comments system etc. then discovering MoveableType, then WordPress (before it even had pages weirdly), then Tumblr before falling into all the social media shit.

Mentioning Bluesky makes me realise that I should be putting that into some for of link on here, and maybe I should be looking at some sort of addon to take my link blog pieces on here and publish them onto Bluesky, hmmmmm.
